Grammar checks and style reviews

Grammar checks and style reviews are made by Claude, an external AI model from Anthropic. The subject and body of a post are sent to Anthropic only when you press Check grammar or Style review in the post editor; nothing is sent as you type.

Style reviews, including the text they reviewed, are stored with the post and are deleted with it. pcom stores no grammar-check text, only a record of each request: who made it, for which post, its kind, the model, token counts, whether it succeeded and when. These records stay when a post is deleted and are deleted with your account.
